COVID fund demands may have been made by impersonators: Sumi Orgs

Zunheboto, June 21 (MExN): The Sümi Hoho and Sümi Kukami Hoho (SKH) on Monday said that it made enquiries to ascertain the facts with regard to allegations that factions in Zunheboto district were seeking a share of COVID-19 funds.

“On enquiry, no concrete instance of demand on COVID fund was established from any groups. It is thus concluded that some miscreants might have made rampant demands by impersonating various factions,” it said in statement. The statement was appended by the Sümi Hoho President Hekhushe Shikhu, Vice President Vihoshe Muru, and General Secretary Nikheto Jimo along with SKH President Kashito Yepthomi and Finance Secretary Hokishe Kiba.

The Sümi Hoho and its frontal organisations also appealed to all concerned to restrain from making further statements and allegations on the matter. It said that the Hoho and SKH can be contacted should the need for any clarifications arise.
