COVID recoveries outnumber new cases in Nagaland 

Dimapur, October 19 (MExN): Nagaland reported more single-day COVID recoveries than fresh cases, while the death toll rose 661 to with one new fatality in Dimapur, the latest health bulletin issued by the state Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme said. The state logged 14 fresh COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, even as 17 patients recuperated in the last 24 hours, it said. The new cases were reported from Dimapur (10), Mokokchung (3), and Kohima (1). The cumulative COVID infection tally stood at 31,641 while 29,693 patients have recovered from the disease so far.Nagaland now has 247 active cases, the bulletin said, adding that 820 sample tests were conducted on Tuesday, returning a daily positivity rate of 1.71 percent.
