CoWIN portal introduces features to rectify errors in vax certificates

Dimapur, April 12 (MExN): A new feature on Co-WIN has been introduced through which vaccinated beneficiaries can submit requests for corrections on vaccination certificates.

As per a press release from the Nagaland Health Department, individuals can submit requests for correcting if the date printed on the certificate differs from the actual date of vaccine administration, or make changes for details like name, age, gender and Photo ID in the vaccination certificate.

Requests can also be submitted for merging two dose 1 certificates to avail final vaccination certificate; addition of passport details to vaccination certificate; report or remove an unknown member registered to Co-WIN account; transfer registered members to another account/new mobile number; regenerate Final Certificate if any details not showing correctly in certificate; or revoke vaccination if status is not showing correctly.

For this, users will have to visit www.cowin.gov.in and click on the ‘Raise an Issue’ tab.

Meanwhile, the release informed that only those beneficiaries who have received at least first dose of vaccination can raise an issue in the Co-WIN portal and that changes once made would be final and irreversible.

Individuals unable to correct certificates themselves online have been informed to either visit the nearest COVID Vaccination Centre (CVC), visit their respective CMO office or call the National Helpline Number: +91-11-23978046 (Toll Free - 1075) or Technical Helpline Number: 0120-4783222.
