CP Dimapur stresses on collective responsibility to address social issues

DIMAPUR, JUNE 9 (MExN): Commissioner of Police (CP) Dimapur Kevithuto Sophie held an interaction with the public leaders of the three districts-Dimapur, Chümoukedima and Niuland on June 9 at CP Conference Hall Dimapur. 

While interacting with the leaders, Sophie said it needed collective responsibility to solve social problems such as drug trafficking, extortion, illegal taxation, liquor adulteration and ILP issues. Towards this, he urged the public leaders to give timely information to the Police department for timely action.

The Commissioner of Police also requested the public leaders to organize awareness programme on various social evils on their respective colonies and villages and also reminded the GBs and village council to be more sensitive while issuing PRC to the outsiders. 

Reckless driving specially two wheeler riders on the highways is costing many lives in the district, Spohie also stated. DCP Niuland, ADCP Dimapur, ADC Chümoukedima, GBs and various CSO leaders also expressed their views on various problems that the society is facing today, a DIPR report stated.
