CHÜMOUKEDIMA, JULY 24 (MExN): The Chakhroma Public Organisation (CPO) will be celebrating its 150 year of formation on November 9.
In this connection, the CPO, in an appeal, requested all the Angami churches in Chakhroma region to observe a day to pray for smooth and successful holding of this historic event, to pray for well being of all the leaders and members of CPO and pray for wisdom of all those who shall be participating in various capacities during the event.
It also appealed to pray for the safety and good health of all delegates who shall be arriving from different locations, pray for all donors and sponsors of the event for their generosity and pray to praise, honour and give thanks to God Almighty for his faithfulness and providence in the last 150 years.
The CPO stated that it is blessed to be one of the oldest organisations in the state which found mention in Brisith chronicles as far back as in 1874 when Captain Butler, in one of his journals, recorded a cluster of a score of Angami villages in the area of Chakhroman Group.
