CTAN to stage peaceful protest

Dimapur, May 30 (MExN): In continuation to its demand for to terminate the 5 backdoor appointees (forester-1) under Chief Conservator of Forests and head of Forests Force on or before May 31, the Combined Technical Association of Nagaland (CTAN) said that with expiry of the dateline, the association will stage peaceful protest outside the directorate office.

CTAN Media Cell in a press release said that it will also exercise the right provided by the Government of Nagaland O.M.no:AR-3/Gen-179/2007(pt) on the subject, “Irregular appointment of Government servants by some appointing authorities.”

The association also questioned the concerned authority stating, ‘did the department adhere to Article 14 and 16 of the constitution of India in the process of public by way of issuing advertisement inviting applications from eligible candidates and hold a proper selection where all eligible candidates gets a fair chance to compete?’ 

If not then it falls under the category of backdoor appointment, it stated while adding that the appointment of five forester-1 is an infringement of Article 14-16 under the Constitution of India.
