CTC releases Clark Journal of Theology

Mokokchung, April 12 (MExN): Clark Journal of Theology, a bi-annual publication of the Clark Theological College was formally released on Monday by Principal of the College Rev Dr A Temjen Jamir.

“The current issue, Volume X, No. 2 is dedicated to our loving and respected outgoing Principal Rev Dr Mar Pongener who is leaving as the Executive Secretary of the Ao Baptist Arogo Mungdang after serving the College for the last 30 years,” a press release from the CTC stated. Rev Dr Mar Pongener is also the Consulting Editor for the journal.

According to the release, Rev Dr Pongener joined the college as lecturer in the department of History of Christianity, and went on to serve as the Post Graduate Dean and Academic Dean before taking on the role of Principal five years ago. Along with visible infrastructural development, the release stated that under his tenure, the Clark Centre for North East Studies was launched, Master’s Studies in Christian Ethics under Senate of Serampore University was re-introduced, and Certificate in Church Music Ministry was introduced. A doctoral programme under the Senate of Serampore University in the department of Communication is also set to be launched from next academic session, it added.

The release further stated that the current issue of Clark Journal of Theology carries eight scholarly articles and two book reviews. It stated that the contributors are all theological educators and that the writings are directed towards unavoidability of ‘Faithfulness and Relevance’ in contemporary theological discourse.
