From Myanmar to Mokokchung: The cultural troupe from Myanmar performing at the Town Hall Mokokchung on March12, 2011.
Dimapur, March 13 (MExN): A 12 member cultural troupe from Myanmar visited Mokokchung and performed at the Town Hall on March12, 2011. Dressed in exquisite costumes, they gave a spell-binding performance of various dances, showcasing the rich culture of Myanmar that left the audience mesmerized during the two-hour show to a packed audience and in their last dance performance, they invited members of the audience and other local dance troupes to join them on stage which was much appreciated by the audience. Earlier in the day, they also visited the tourist village of Mopungchukit. The troupe is led by Goko Naig, Production Director, Ministry of Culture, Government of Myanmar and they are also scheduled to perform at the forthcoming Spring Festival at Dimapur. The Mokokchung Show was sponsored by the NEZCC and organised by the MDACC.
