Phek, October 30 (MExN): The Chakhesang Wrestling Association (CWA) expressed shock at the demise of wrestler Velato Veswu of Yoruba Village, who passed away on October 28 at his native village.
Late Veswu was the Champion of Western Chakhesang Wrestling Meet 2015, Champion, Model Village Yorubami Youth Association Wrestling Meet 2015.He was also the 4th position holder of 9th International Naga Hornbill Wrestling Championship 2015. He was also a good contender in the Chakhesang Wrestling Championship and Nagaland Wrestling Championship in the year 2014, the CWA stated.
“He was not just a good wrestler but an outstanding athlete,” the Association wrote, and added it has lost a great soul and a champion wrestler.
It extended condolence to the bereaved family members and prayed for peace for the departed.
