Dimapur, Novermber 12 (MExN): The Dimapur Bangali Samaj (DBS) and Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) today extended Diwali greetings to the people of Nagaland in general and Hindu community in particular.
“May this festival of lights which symbolizes the victory of light over darkness usher into the lives of all a new hope, a new radiance, a new happiness,”DBS President Advocate Kamala Kanta Paul said wishing all the believers a 'very happy and prosperous Deepawali'.
While COVID-19 pandemic has dampened almost all the celebrations this year, the president said that the indomitable human would always gets an upper hand.
“We have stood up to the challenges. But the risks remain. While we celebrate Deepawali, we must follow all the SOPs as advised by the authority,” he added.
Meanwhile, the NPCC President K Therie also extended greetings to the Hindu community on the occasion of Diwali.
“May the celebration of light over darkness and good over evil remind each one of us of the need for right actions for truth and goodness to triumph over all else,” he said further wishing for the celebration to usher in a new dawn of good health, wealth and prosperity.
