DC Dimapur calls meeting of ATMA Governing Board

Dimapur, February 17 (MExN): Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur Rajesh Soundararajan IAS, who is also the chairman of ATMA Governing Board, convened a meeting of the Governing Board members in the Conference Hall of DC Dimapur on February 16.

In the meeting, a DIPR report stated that the DC Dimapur advised the members for focusing more on Agri and Allied convergence activities in order to achieve the target programmes for the welfare and benefit of farmers. 

The DC also impressed upon the members to create more awareness for establishing integrated farming and also expansion of the existing ones to bring more synergy. Regretting about the wastage of time due to the pandemic, the DC encouraged the members for focusing on the ongoing activities so as to compensate the time loss and to carry forward the activities successfully. 

In the meeting, agendas including review of ongoing activities, DAP preparation status were deliberated.
Underscoring the importance of kitchen garden for growing variety of organic vegetables, one of participant from the farming community felt that awareness on kitchen gardening needs to be created by ATMA during the training programs.

District Agriculture Officer who is also the PD (ATMA) and member secretary cum treasurer Governing Board Dimapur, Atoi Sema, Governing Board members from Agri and Allied sectors and non official members of the Governing Board attended the meeting.
