Mon, April 22 (MExN): In view of the rapid surge in the number of COVID -19 cases in the state, Deputy Commissioner, Mon has notified that the assembly of four or more persons from 7:00 pm to 5:00 am in the urban areas under Mon district is strictly prohibited with immediate effect. Strict penalties will be imposed upon any defaulters/violators.
Travellers of Blue Hill Bus No. NL-07-0269 notified
The DC Mon Thavaseelan K IAS on Thursday notified all passengers who have travelled from Dimapur to Mon April 19 by Blue Hill Bus No. NL-07-0269 to self-report to the following numbers: 9862078993 or 8787645487. Further, the DC has requested all to observe COVID-19 appropriate behavior at home and to remain indoor.
One house sealed
DC Mon, Thavaseelan K, IAS on April 21 ordered the sealing of a house in Wakching Road, Tompang Ward, Mon Town till further orders. Any person violating the containment measures would be liable to be proceeded against as per the provision of Sections 51 to 60 of Disaster Management Act 2005 besides legal action under Section 188 of the Indian Penal Code and other legal provisions as applicable.
