Dimapur, February 24 (MExN): The Dimapur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) and Zunheboto Chamber of Commerce and Industries (ZCCI ) on Wednesday confirmed their participation in the Bharat Vyapar Bandh called on February 26.

In a statement issued by its President Akashe Zhimomi, the DCCI stated that GST regime implemented in 2017 across India has become burdensome to comply with.”The whole system of GST tax system has become problematic for the traders of the country,” it stated and appealed the business establishments to strictly comply with its directive as the bandh is for the benefit of all the business community.

The DCCI has directed its frontal units as well as business establishments under its jurisdiction to strictly close business on February 26 from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.

It further informed that the DCCI would deploy volunteers for strict compliance and requested the law enforcing agencies to take precautionary measures so that “no undue advantage is taken by anti social elements.”

The ZCCI meanwhile informed that all business establishments in Zunheboto would down their shutters from 6:00 am to 4:00 pm to show solidarity.

It further appealed all citizens of Zunheboto town to co-operate and bear the inconvenience, in a press release issued by ZCCI President Y Kikheto Muru and Joint Secretary Vitoka V Achumi.
