The Detox Centre Evangelical Fellowship (DCEF) of Naga Hospital Authority Kohima (NHAK) observed its second foundation day at the NHAK Auditorium on Sunday.
Rev Vezopa Rhakho, pastor of Chakhesang Baptist Church Kohima (CBCK), was the speaker at the programme, while Dr Sungtimen Jamir, in-charge of the Detox Centre, NHAK, delivered a short sharing.
The programme began with an invocation seeking God's blessings by Rovi Wezah, while Rev Vezopa Rhakho delivered the message.
Khriehuzo Lohe shared the background of DCEF (NHAK). The programme also featured responsive Bible reading, prayers for inmates and testimonies.
The main aim of the Detox Centre Evangelical Fellowship is to lead people towards a life of spiritual cleansing, Christ-centred living and passionate evangelism.
The fellowship seeks to call believers to repentance, holiness and dependence on the Word of God and prayer. It also promotes a life of spiritual "detox" by encouraging cleansing from sin, worldliness, bitterness and distractions, along with daily devotion, fasting and fellowship with the Holy Spirit.
Its evangelism objectives include sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with those who have not heard it through preaching, outreach and personal witnessing. It also seeks to establish and strengthen local churches and fellowships and reach young people, families and communities with the message of salvation and hope.
Under its discipleship objectives, the fellowship aims to build spiritually grounded disciples rooted in Scripture and committed to Christ, train leaders and workers for ministry and service, and equip members with spiritual gifts for building up the body of Christ.
Its social and community objectives include demonstrating Christ's love through acts of service, charity and compassion, bringing healing and restoration to broken families, people struggling with addiction and those in bondage, and promoting unity, peace and integrity within the church and society.
The organisational objectives include conducting seminars, retreats, Bible studies and prayer meetings; producing and distributing Christian literature, media and resources for evangelism; and partnering with other churches and ministries for the advancement of God's kingdom.
