DCF opts for inclusive approach on Socio-political issues

Dimapur, November 18 (MExN): Dimapur Christian Forum (DCF) in its consultative meeting on November 14 has decided to opt for an inclusive approach strategy to confront Socio-political issues in the state.

DCF Executive members, Advisories and Office bearers along with the women and youth commission leaders attended the meeting at Bishop House, Dimapur.  

The main objective of the meeting was to discuss various issues such as the Role of Churches in combating unemployment of youth, Nagaland Liquor Total Prohibition Act 1989 and the Collective Response of Churches on the Political Scenario of our People, a DCF release informed.  

The members discussed and deliberated the three issues elaborately and decided to form three working committees to plan for the upcoming wider consultative meeting, it said. 

The committees will also chalk out the strategies and action plan to combat the said issues systematically in the light of the Gospel and the mission of the church, it said. 

The DCF along with the three committees will be organizing a larger consultative meeting on December 5 to further discus and finalise the action and strategies that have to be implemented by t he churches, stated the release from Chairman DCF Rev Moses Murry and  Secretary Fr Dr CP Anto.

It further invited and requested all the church leaders, pastors and Reverends to be part of the porposed meeting.

The meeting started welcoming of the gathering by Rev Murry the Chairman DCF while Rev T Ariba Imchen invoked God’s blessing. It concluded with the benediction by Rev Dr N Tzudir.
