Dimapur, March 18 (MExN): The Dimapur Christian Forum (DCF) on Thursday endorsed its support for the State-wide prayer day called by the Nagaland Joint-Christian Forum (NJCF) on March 20.
Announcing its decision to join the NJCF’s call for prayer, the DCF requested pastors and priests of all the churches to observe the prayer day along with the rest of the State in their respective churches.
It also welcomed initiatives of volunteers to observe the day in their own towns, streets and villages and appealed the citizens to come together for the common interest of the State.
The DCF also highlighted the need for an early peaceful solution to the longstanding Indo-Naga political issue.
“Our people have been longing and dreaming for peaceful and developed condition for our children and youth for a long period of time and we should all work together for peace and reconciliation with God and His people,” the Forum stated in a press release on March 18.
It further urged everyone to continue with the mission praying for a peaceful, sustainable and acceptable solution to the existing issues. Meanwhile, the DCF also informed that it is organizing an Easter inter-denominational prayer meet on April 4 at Bethesda Church, Dimapur. In this regard, the Forum has welcomed participation of individuals and groups in the prayer meeting.
