Peren, February 5 (MExN): In an effort to boost the king chili cultivation, a demonstration on organic farming of king chili was successfully conducted at Old Tesen and New Tesen town on February 2 and 3 by ATMA, guided by Sub-Divisional Agriculture Officer, Temjentoshi who is also the BTT convener of ATMA Tening block.
The resource persons for the demonstration were ATMA functionaries of Tening block. The demonstration provided hands on experience for the farmers in managing their king chili production in an environmentally friendly and organic system. It was targeted towards adopting healthy cultural practices, sound soil management practices and an integrated disease management.
Emphasis on use on Trichoderma Viride, Bacillus Thuringiensis (BT), NSKE, Yellow sticky trap was stressed upon and the bio-pesticides were also distributed to the farmers attending the demonstration programme.
