Dimapur, May 29 (MExN): The Dimapur Eastern Nagaland Students' Union (DENSU) on Saturday condemned the alleged physical abuse of a minor by a couple in Sematilla Colony, Dimapur.
“The severe physical injury inflicted upon a minor boy keeping in their own custody as a domestic helper is extremely heinous and depraved. It is not only a physical assault but also an attempt to life,” DENSU asserted.
Terming the act ‘cruel, unimaginable and disheartening’, the Union said that such acts are a threat to humanity and urged every right thinking society not to remain silent but to condemn it. DENSU further acknowledged the immediate action taken by the Sub-Urban Police station in registering suo moto FIR and arresting the couple. The Union requested the law enforcing agency to leave no stone unturned in pursuing the matter so as to deliver justice to the victim.
