Departments hold combined farewell programme

Kohima, December 20 (MExN): The combined farewell programme of both Directorate of Higher Education and Technical Education was held on December 18 in honour of Imjung M Panger, Commissioner and Secretary, H & TE in the Conference Hall of Technical Education.

Minister for Higher Education & Tribal Affairs, Temjen Imna Along congratulated the outgoing Commissioner and Secretary after his illustrious career as a bureaucrat in which he has given good service to the Department and appreciated his simplicity and truthfulness.

Advisor to Chief Minister for Technical Education & Election, Medo Yhokha also shared some of the good qualities about Imjung M Panger and encouraged the members to emulate such qualities in one’s service career.

Commissioner & Secretary, H &TE, Imjung M Panger said that it was a privilege for him to be in the Government service and serve the public. He encouraged the members to renew their pledge to serve the public. His successful completion of Service Career was due to constant moral support and prayers from family members and cooperation from his subordinates and officers while serving under different capacities, he stated.

Further, Dr Apeni Lotha, Director, Higher Education, Er Vipulhou Lhoungu, Joint Director, Technical Education and Warren Holohon Yepthomi, Deputy Secretary, H & TE, spoke on behalf of Higher Education, Technical Education and administrative office respectively. Representatives from Geology & Mining and NPG Board also participated in the programme.

The programme was chaired by Nungsangmenla Imchen, Joint Secretary and Ex-Officio Director, Technical Education, invocation by Rokono Peseyie, Joint Director, HE and Vote of thanks by Menoukholie Kire, Joint Director, HE.
