Kiphire | May 12 : The Deputy Commissioner Kiphire, C.M Tsanglao held a co-ordination meeting today for the development of Amahator town with D.B’s G.B’s and the leaders of Amahator area at its headquarter which was also attended by elders.
Addressing the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner said, ‘It is shameful to say but in my ten years observation of the area, development is stagnant’ and called upon the gathering to reason as to what went wrong with it. He also stated, ‘Who will like to come if there is no development’, and asked the leaders present to put the heads together for speedy development of the town so that people would love to come for settlement.
He said, ‘Development of the mind is the biggest challenge and if it is not developed there is no breakthrough’ and asked the gathering to change the mind-set for betterment. Advising the land donors, the Deputy commissioner said, ‘God created the earth and it is for the people to beautify it without which is will be just barren’, and asked the land donors to let the people beautify it by allowing them to settle without any hindrance.
The Deputy commissioner also said, ‘Any development that is done here is solely yours as no agencies will take it away from you and asked the elders present to come together to develop the town’. Defining the meaning of life, the Deputy Commissioner said, ‘Life is nothing but ‘work and problem’, if you don’t have problem there is no life and if you don’t work there will be no progress and asked the gathering to work without being lazy’. Quoting the phrase ‘Unity is strength’ the Deputy Commissioner challenged the area leaders to be united so that progress is seen in every front’.
Seili HD GB Amahator village Chotsamong HD DB and Yangsekyu Hd GB Amahator town also spoke on the occasion. Earlier giving a welcome address the EAC Amahator, Moakumzuk Tzudir said, ‘This is the first time for the D.C to have a meeting at Amahator EAC HQ and express gratitude.
