Mon, September 3 (MExN): The District Health Society (DHS), Mon held a review meeting with the Block Programme Managers (BPMs), Asha Co-ordinators and ANMs/GNMs on September 3 at CMO conference hall.

The meeting was reviewed by Deputy CMO Dr Rongsennungla, DPO (RCH&UIP) Dr Shasinle Tep, DPM Bonnie Konyak and other officials including DSO, Dr Lolekhol Pucho and DTO Dr Tinenlo James.

The entire meeting was based on the presentation of the BPMs which covers the performance of every health units in the District, a press release from the CMO Office stated.

The presentation covered topics on ANC, deliveries, full immunization, complete immunization, OPD attendance, family planning, reporting error, COVID vaccination, HBNC, birth and death report. 

Dr Tinenlo noted the low number of cases referred to the DMC and informed that referring TB suspected cases will be rewarded with incentives if the case turns out to be positive.

The Government of India has a plan to eliminate TB from India and that is why various strategic approaches have been initiated. It has also designed an app called ‘TB Aarogya Sathi’ for self assessment where people will get the know-how of the disease, he informed.

Dr Shasinle spoke on COVID vaccination, Routine Immunization (RI), RI Micro plan, Immunization chart and MCP card. Quality Assurance DPM Moba, briefed on the reporting format of Non Communicable Disease (NCD). 

Dr Lolekhol Pucho also informed that a target has been set for all the Health Units to get people tested for COVID. While acknowledging that people still have stigma and fear to come forward for the testing, he encouraged the health care providers to try their best to help people understand and enable them to have better health preventive measures.
