Naga people have begun her journey at the right time in the world history. The formation of nation is her inalienable rights. She has already fulfilled all the criteria as the other free political nations in the world. She has her territory, its population and rich natural resources. Naga people are not asking independent from Indian and Burmese government.
But to liberate our powerful neighbors who have oppressive mentality upon Naga for many decades. Unfortunately we have given to our own self to illegitimate power or force of perversion. In this world of busy schedule we have to think cohesively if not evil snares have almost become our norms. These force of evils elements can be minimized if we are able to put our normal thought to think better and clearer for this nation.
Today as leaders are they able to spare a thought for this nation or not? Are they willing to hear the hues and cries of million of Naga voices? We have a long beginning of the factional division, it has cost too much upon Naga people. Naga people like to see it as an ending episode. As rightly claim by them as leaders are they so self contented with what their leadership can offer to Naga people. National leaders self-sufficiency and self-satisfaction without Naga people’s will is deficiency. When will they break their wall of self-contented and be willing to come and talk as leaders in others part of the world do. Pharisees attitude will bring our Nagas to lowest ebbs. When will they coalesces as member of same ancestor. For nearly three decades they have refuse to hear from people yet their claim is for Naga people. This mental attitude talks about volume of their leadership skills. Probably what will the younger generation expect from these kinds of leaders. Leaders who are not willing to change, have to think out their own personality. If we can replace the old method of Naga leadership skills that elders know everything and younger have to keep mum. Pessimistic attitude can be replace if our leaders are willing to hurts their own ego. Our leaders let the darker paths to rise and let the shining path to decline. If they keep innocent generation in their list of priority they will pull down the wall of different ideological. Which they have built thinking that was a right building. So they have to break up all the evil material for building another new Naga building. The cost and time that has been spent may not all are wasted but they have to erect a new one. If Naga leaders are not willing to break up their barrier the will meet their battle of waterloo.
No higher degree level of threat can produce any responsible citizen instead we can see only another breeds who can able to follow the same trend to give headache to another innocent victim in our generation. Today many of our leaders have to measure their leadership skill. Which leaders are you? Can you have your personal evaluation.
1) Today we refuse to talk for brightening the future Naga. Leaders are you threaten when Naga people voice higher for dialogue. Many leaders are so comfortable to walk and share with the government of India. They are very much inclined and put their trust upon outsiders.
2) Naga leaders refuse to talk about Naga family struggle and tears but we are eager to share about foreign affairs as if we are very stable and secure at our home.
3) Leaders were not hesitated to talk about their national service they rendered but peoples voice have been refused for about three decades and probably many of them would like to continue in this same trend. People’s voice and national leaders are quite reciprocal to each other as the opposite pole. They love to say that people are with them but probably somewhere they have stop and think where are general will focused today.
4) People’s mandate should be studied in depth not a formality in letter but in spirit and the consciousness of the people have to listen very attentively not superficially.
5) A costly decision have to take by national leaders because it has cost so dearly to all the Naga families because leaders refused to come together under Naga people’s desire. Any leaders who failed to take this costly decision probably they have to asked this hard question. Does my leadership position is hindrance and slippery for Naga people? Is Naga leaders have internalized this inborn right in a very subtle way to control people’s will. If they have personal approach than even Naga people have different approach. When will be a mediating point come in our land?
Majority of our national leaders are socially fabricated as “public peace seekers” perhaps but in their private life they are close to “dictatorship”. Leaders who are the man of integrity have to lead this nation but those who know how to applied adjustment theory.
Adjust its national resources, time, and energy for their own self have no moral right to lead this nation. This nation that God have given its territory, population and resources for His glory and for nation building. Leaders have to be fully accountable and trustable. If leaders are in the good list of Indian government. Can their conscience allowed them to go ahead and let Naga people address to them as leaders. Some leaders names are worthy to list in the Naga history and some are probably not. Those who can camouflage are not trustable even by the teens. Leaders that are accountable will get the utmost cooperation because cooperation cannot forced however it should be earned. Tax collection is another form of extortion however, make another blue print that people will be willingly widely and you will received it willingly. Naga people are well known in helping and in giving. If the world history said about there own people are the pillar for liberation of their own nation. Naga people will contribute it faithfully but are leaders accountable to public and are they trustable in their private life or not? People are looking upon them to enlighten their life not to darken. We can no longer invite other nations to rebuild but Naga people are looking for honest and man filled with fire to lead in rebuilding this nation. Naga people can give its time, energy, and resources for our national leaders from different camp to talk not to point at one another like children playing hide and seek game. Passiveness is growing in leaps and bound specially among youngster about nationalism and it was a creation of our national leaders. Whom do you blame for all this thing?
Let us honestly asked ourselves today that under the leadership of Isaac and khaplang are people rejoicing and dancing or are people grumbling and mumbling! No doubt we cannot give only negative impression but we have enmeshed up with personal interest with national issue. Who will be able to divide things rightly and give a balance portion in this matter. Shall we sincerely give a thought today as a Naga born here in our own land. Are we willing to talk like a human being to talk for the future Nagas nothing less and more.
1, Leaders shall we all learn not to come with a “baggage of power” but armed with the “power of positive thinking” and understanding.
2, Leaders learn the word “repentance” not to let some one repent first and shall we repent first before our opponent do.
3. Leaders shall we not come to table with suicide boom but an attitude of humiliation.
4. Leaders let Naga people choose you not from your camp. Let the younger generation says thanks not a word of mockery in their own generation when you get old.
5. Leaders should come with a sense of glue ness not with a sense of scissor.
Therefore, dialogue should begin at home because that is the best, safest, and strongest recommendation to talk unashamed and unwavering with our neighbors who were the aggressors. Naga people have to work hard to liberate the oppressive mentality of Indian and Burmese government. So united Naga movement have to begin to liberate those who are oppressing us. We are not asking independent but to let Indian and Burmese govt understand our stand. To begin a dialogue Naga National Leaders have to plus the Cross of Jesus Christ if peace is need and anything minimizing the Cross will bring our liberation close to failure. We should talk to bring peace within and outside in our own personal life and to share with our people. Are we ready to have a dialogue leaders or not today?
