Dimapur, March 12 (MExN): The Commissioner of Police (CP) Dimapur has revoked prohibitory order Under Section 144 CrPC within Diezephe Village and Tsithrongse Village as well as the road stretch from Singrijan Village Junction towards Urra Village imposed on February 10.
The prohibitory order was imposed in connection with “breach of Law & Order/ damage of public and private properties on 10.02.2024 at Diezephe Village and Tsithrongse Village under Chumoukedima District.”
However, following satisfactory law and order situation after subsequent review of the, the prohibitory order has been revoked from the aforementioned areas, stated an order issued by CP Dimapur Kevithuto Sophie on March 8. 
It must be noted here that peace committee has been established to address the "35 years long dispute" between Diezephe and Tsithrongse Village. The committee was formed during a recent meeting of Tenyimi Union Dimapur (TUD) and Eastern Nagaland People’s Union Dimapur (ENPUD).
Operating under the banner "Peace committee for Diezephe & Tsithrongse Village," the meeting unanimously appointed V ekhosayi Nyekha (TUD) and L Shahoto Yimkhiung (ENPUD), the Presidents of the respective apex unions, as the Convenor and Co-convenor. The committee will also include 5 representatives from each union.
A press release from the Committee on February 28 informed that upon its formation, representatives from both unions visited the two villages on February 14 for a consultative meeting.
Among others both villages agreed to provide written endorsement to the Peace Committee, aiming to bring a final and amicable solution to their long-standing disputes, it added.
