Dimapur, April 18 (MExN): The Excise Department, in a combined raid by the three units of Narcotic Cell, Mobile Squad and Dimapur Excise, seized 118 cases of IMFL from different areas of Dimapur town on Tuesday.
Altogether 16 offenders of the NLTP Act’89 were booked under the relevant punitive section of the Act, informed an update issued by T Arilong Longkumer, Assistant Commissioner of Excise (ENF).
Regular frisking and checking are carried out separately by the Departmental units simultaneously apart from such combined raids, he stated.
“Further, public cooperation is sought for effective enforcement of the Prohibition Act,” Longkumer added.
