Dimapur, January 24 (MExN): The Dimapur Commissioner of Police on Sunday issued traffic regulations restricting vehicular traffic in all the major inter-state and inter-district entry/exit points under Dimapur district from 6:00 am on January 26.
The restriction on entry and exit points such as the Dellai, New Field, and Chümoukedima Check Gates would be enforced till the completion of the 72nd Republic Day Celebration, the notice issued through the Dimapur Police PRO and ADCP informed.
Vehicular traffic in the road stretch from Tragopan Police Point till Newfield Check Gate will be restricted from 8:30 am till the completion of the programme and normal traffic will be diverted towards Island colony via Khermahal junction, it said.
It also informed that medical emergencies would be exempted after being subject to anti-sabotage checking. While vehicles with ‘Z’ and ‘Y’ category car passes will be allowed entry from Tragopan Police Point/New Field Check Gate, only those with ‘Z’ category car pass will be allowed entry inside DDSC stadium, it added. All concerned have been requested to cooperate with the temporary traffic regulations.
