Dimapur, February 6 (MExN): The Dimapur District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting was held under the chairmanship of Advisor, Zhaleo Rio on February 6.
Addressing the meeting, a DIPR report stated that Zhaleo impressed upon the members for attending the DPDB meetings regularly. “Depute your subordinate officer if you cannot attend the meeting due to unavoidable reasons,” he advised. He also urged the members to convey the right information to the public with regard to the ongoing COVID vaccination and stressed on the need for compulsory use of face masks.
Mentioning about the funds given by the Government of India particularly towards Agri and Allied sectors for livelihood and employment generation, Zhaleo asked the Department of Horticulture and Agriculture for highlighting the activities undertaken during the next DPDB meeting.
The DC Dimapur, Rajesh Soundararajan IAS requested the HODs to ensure that their staff gets vaccinated when their turn comes. “The number of COVID cases is decreasing generally, but we should not think that the pandemic is over,” the DC maintained. He reminded that the focus of the vaccination would be served only when the majority of population gets vaccinated. He further advised the HODs to go for cloth banners during any programmes to be held as per the direction of the Government banning use of flex banners.
Highlighting on COVID 19 updates of Dimapur district, CMO Dimapur informed that the total cases stands at 6474 with 6312 recoveries and 28 active cases. No positive reports were reported yesterday she informed. She further informed that the 2nd phase of vaccination drive will kick off on February 9 with 12000 registered beneficiaries.
The board members also reviewed last meeting minutes and recommended the proposals for registration of societies.
