Dimapur, October 31 (MExN): The Dimapur District Excise duty party manning Newfield check gate while on a regular check gate duty along NH -29 route, intercepted three vehicles ( 2 Maruti Gypsy and 1 Toyota Fortuner) on October 31.
On frisking the vehicle, the duty party recovered 80 cases of assorted IMFL, T Arilong Longkumer Superintendent of Excise & Prohibition Dimapur informed in a press release on Sunday.
In this connection, one Ketuosienuo Awomi (43 years) R/o Tinpatti, Kohima was arrested and booked under the relevant sections of the NLTP Act 89'. As per Preliminary investigation, the accused admitted that the seized contraband IMFL was bound for Kohima, the release added.
