Dimapur, May 21 (MExN): The Inspection Team, constituted by the Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur to monitor alleged illegal collection of money from the vehicles at check gates and other locations, conducted the first inspection on May 20.
The team was constituted in pursuance of the Home Department’s notification, stated a DIPR report.
As directed by the Deputy Commissioner to obtain regular reports, the Inspection Team carried out the first inspection at Khakhati check gate, New Field check gate, and Dillai check gate.
The Inspection Team led by the chairman ADC, H Atokhe Aye, and committee members SDO(C) Sadar, Zubenthung Ngullie; EAC Dimapur Sadar, Assistant Commissioner of police; District Transport Officer and DPRO officials carried out inspections at the various check gates in Dimapur “to see that no unauthorized check gate is functional and there is no case of illegal collection of money by anyone at the permitted check gates.”
During the inspection, ADC, H Atokhe Aye informed the persons in charge of check gates to strictly follow the orders set by the Government of Nagaland. “In the event of an inspection, if any illegal activity is found, the matter should be immediately taken up as per the law,” the ADC directed.
