Dimapur, August 23 (MExN): The Dimapur police have made several arrests in the last two days under various crimes including possession of illegal arms and sexual assault, an official release informed.
On August 22, one person identified Akato Awomi arrested with a.22 country-made Pistol. One magazine and one .22 live round bullet were also his possession, the release from Addl. Dy. Commissioner of Police/PRO Dimapur Police said.
On the same day, Dimapur Police apprehended one person namely Pappu Singh (43) for illegal possession of 55 packets (7920) capsules of spasmo proxyvon. A case has been registered at GRPS for further investigation.
In this connection a case has been registered in East Police Station for further investigation, it added.
The police, on August 23, also arrested one person for sexually assaulting his daughter (2 ½ years), the PRO said. The police identified the accused as one Rafikul Islam (27), adding that a case has been registered in Women Police Station for further investigation.
Meanwhile, on August 21, Dimapur Police seized 500 cases of IMFL after conducting raids in different parts of Dimapur Town. In this regard 4 NLTP cases have been registered in East and West Police Station respectively.
