DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 13 (MExN): The Dimapur Police made 4 arrests on November 12 in connection with several criminal activities.
A press release from the PRO, Dimapur Police informed that one Bartho Das (26) was arrested for possessing 10 kgs of suspected contraband Ganja from Dimapur Railway Station Platform. In this connection a case has been registered at GRPS, Dimapur.
On the same day, one Shikavi Achumi (37) was also held while extorting money from Blue Hill area. On being frisked, the police recovered a cash amount of Rs 1000 from his possession. A case has been registered at East Police Station, Dimapur.
Police also arrested one Joel Sumi (39) while extorting money from the business community at GS Road Dimapur and on conducting frisking/checking, a cash amount of Rs 2000 was recovered from his possession. A case in this connection was registered at East Police Station.
Further, on the same day, one person identified as Hutoshe Kinimi (29) was arrested from Dhobinalla area, Dimapur. Rs 4330 cash, 66 NSCN (IM) ‘Work Permit’ cards, 1 register with list of shops, and a mobile phone were recovered. A case has been registered at West Police Station, Dimapur.
