Dimapur, November 10 (MExN): The Urban Development Department, Nagaland has given assurance that the construction of Old Dhansiri bridge in Dimapur will be completed by December this year, the East Dimapur GBs Association (EDGBA) informed today.
The assurance was given when the Executive Engineer Ketouzo representing the UDD jointly inspected the site along with GBs of East Dimapur on November 7, informed a press release from EDGBA President Niuto Awomi.
During the inspection, the Engineer found out that the issue raised by the association is genuine and it was found out that the construction of wing wall is in total disorder, it said.
“The Executive Engineer assured the GBs that all the lapses in the construction especially the wing wall will be corrected and the bridge will be completed in the months of December 2020,” it added.
Acknowledging the department’s ‘prompt response’ to the legitimate issues raised by the association, the EDGBA expressed hope that the “Old Dhansiri bridge will completed as per the specifications and within the time assured without any further delay.”
