Tuensang, November 17 (MExN): The Wela Foundation School, Tuensang, in collaboration with Department of Physics, Sao Chang College, Tuensang and the establishment of District Education Officer, Tuensang organized a ‘District Level Online Quiz Competition’ November 14 to commemorate Children’s Day.
The online quiz was held on the topic ‘General Science and Significance of Children's Day,’ for the students of Class VII to X, informed a press release on Tuesday.
A total of 157 students from various schools of Tuensang district participated in the quiz. The top 3 students scoring 90 % of quiz marks are Faizon Ahmed, class-8 of Akum Imlong Schools, Tuensang, Lemba C, class-9 of Wela Foundation School, Tuensang and Khupjemsangla, class-8 of Eklavya Model Residential School, Tuensang. The top 3 were awarded with cash prize along with the e-certificates while 45 students who scored a minimum of 60% were also given e-certificates, the release stated.
The quiz competition was organized with P Ason, Headmistress, Wela Foundation School as the chairperson; Dipak Nath, Head of Physics Department, Sao Chang College as Convener and Tiajungla, Asst. Headmistress, Wela Foundation School as Co-Ordinator. Lachem Chang, Bendangliba Chang, Limawati Ao, Wellensangli Chang and S Hongkin Sangkhum Chang were the organizing members of the competition, it said.
The organizing team expressed its gratitude to all the students who participated in the competition and further encouraged the students to keep participating in such co-curricular activities.
