A passenger bus proceeding to Mokokchung from Dimapur via Assam met with an accident at NH 29 in Karbi Anglong district on December 20. According to sources, the accident occurred around 7:00 pm near the Barpathar Police Station. The bus reportedly hit a truck from behind.
There was no official update but the sources said that at least 6 occupants of the bus, including the driver’s assistant, were injured. At the time of filing this report, the condition of 3 were said to have been serious, one of whom succumbed in hospital.
