DNSU supports demand for Cyber Cell in Dimapur

Dimapur, January 25 (MExN): The Dimapur Naga Students' Union (DNSU), in support of the Tenyimi Students' Union Dimapur’s appeal for setting up Cyber Cell in Dimapur, has called upon the authorities to take the matter with paramount concern without delay.

The DNSU, in a press release issued by its media cell on Monday stated that with development in technologies and widespread use of internet, cyber crime has become a serious issue and real threat to the people.

It is very unfortunate to learn that there is only one cyber cell in Kohima for the whole state of Nagaland. The complainants are compelled to run to Kohima to register the case amounting to an unnecessary harassment, it stated.

Meanwhile, the Union also appealed to all police stations in Nagaland to initiate Zero FIR system for any such cyber crime matter so as to curb the issue without unnecessary physical harassment.
