Do we require a State Commission for Women on the lines of the NCW at the national level?

Those who said ‘YES’ had this to say:

• The principles of human rights apply to women as well
• Having a state commission for women is not a question of making a statement on the women liberation movement, it’s to do with the fact that crimes and injustice against women is prevalent everywhere irrespective of boundaries....Nagaland is no exception. The higher ups should let this fact seep into their thick-headed skulls!

• We need commission for women. A lot of issues and problems concerning women need to be brought out in the open for discussion and redressal. Naga women go through a lot.
