Dog shooting: One arrested by Mokokchung Police

Mokokchung, July 3 (MExN): Mokokchung Police today informed that a person involved in the alleged dog shooting incident at Changki village was arrested on July 3.


In a press release, Mokokchung Superintendent of Police, Vishal, stated that the shoot at sight order against dogs “is a clear violation of the order issued by the district Deputy Commissioner,” punishable under section 428/429 of the Indian Penal Code.


The SP also informed that during the investigation, it was established that a 12 Bore SBBL was used to shoot the dog. Accordingly, both the arms and the empty shell was seized and is under police custody for further investigation, the release stated.
