TUENSANG, JANUARY 31 (MExN): A Double-1 manufacturing unit under CSC e-governance Tuensang Nagaland was inaugurated on January 28 by L Dorothy, President, Tuensang Chamber Of Commerce & Industries (TCCI).
She congratulated Double 1 for achieving a milestone by installing small scale industry in Tuensang Town which will provide clean, hygienic, biodegradable and environmentally-friendly with low cost sanitary napkins to the girls and women of Tuensang.
The function was also attended by Chingmak, President, Local Entrepreneurs Tuensang Town and Alemnungsang, Assistant Manager, CSC SPV Nagaland.
Double-1 through its initiative for women’s health and hygiene, named ‘Stree Swabhiman’ is striving to create a sustainable model for providing affordable and accessible sanitary products close to the homes of adolescent women and girls.
This sanitary napkin product not only suits the needs of low-income communities but is also bio-degradable and thus environmentally-friendly. Besides, these are made easily accessible to rural communities.
Apart from sanitary napkin unit, Double-1 also produces LED bulbs with low cost to reduce the consumption of electricity.
