DIMAPUR: For strengthening the service delivery system on Harm Reduction Program towards HIV/AIDS, a sub drop-in centre (DIC), an extension DIC of Bhandari-Sanis project, was officially inaugurated at Doyang on August 25.
The Program Administrator of the Bethesda Youth Welfare Center (BYWC), James Kikon, informed that the groundwork had been in progress for the past few months but official inauguration of the same had taken place only today. The Chief Guest of the occasion NK Mao, Administrative Officer NEEPCO Authority Doyang Hydro Project while appreciating the DIC for its farsighted approach for a noble cause, requested the public to cooperate with the centre’s initiative to contain the problem of HIV/AIDS. WC Humtsoe, Executive Director BYWC, while welcoming the people, also highlighted the activities of the DIC. The program came to an end with a prayer from N Ellis Lotha Pastor of United Baptist Church. The extension DIC Doyang is being sponsored by Project Orchid and the United Baptist Church.
