Dimapur, August 22 (MExN): Tongtein Longchar of Class 12 Delhi Public School (DPS), Dimapur was adjudged as one of the winners (Senior 1 Category) in the public speaking competition organized by the Noble Youth International Model United Nations (NYIMUN).
A press release issued by the DPS stated that altogether 150 participants representing 15 countries from across the globe took part in the competition.
The preliminary round consisted of recorded video submissions on given topics from August 1-10. The second round of the competition was conducted online for two day i.e. August 11-12, wherein each selected participant had to deliver extempore speech on two topics.
Tongtein stated that it had been an enriching experience and she is hopeful about new doors being opened for many of such productive engagements on ongoing global and national issues.
