Dr. Shürhozelie calls for proper dissemination of culture to young generation

Kohima | September 24 : Minister for urban development and higher & technical education Dr. Shürhozelie Liezietsu today urged upon the leaders of Angami Public Organization (APO) to disseminate proper information pertaining to its tradition and culture to the younger generation. This, he said, has been necessity in order to maintain and preserve the identity of the Angamis.
Inaugurating APO conference hall at APO Building Complex this morning, the minister also felt on the need to maintain its identity by renaming areas and places into its own dialect.
In this, the minister said the APO has to initiate the process. He was of the apprehension that the Angami would face the problem in future if such process is not done at the earliest. Also stating that Angamis have been initiators of several struggle for the cause of Naga people, Dr. Liezietsu also challenged the Angami leaders to continue to work without any selfish or vested interest for the progress and betterment of Naga people.
