Dimapur, November 16 (MExN): The draft electoral rolls for varous Assembly Constituencies (ACs) were published across Nagaland by concerned Electoral Registration Officer on November 16. 

The Chief Electoral Officer Nagaland has informed that there are 12,13,409 electors as per the draft published electoral roll across the State. They include 12,05,655 general electors and 7754 service electors. Further, there are 6,12,429 male electors and 6,00,980 female electors. 

According to DIPR report, the releases of draft publications as well as distribution of e-roll to registered political parties were held in different district’s DEO offices.

As per the report, the qualifying date of the e-roll is January 1, 2021.

The period from November 16-December 15 is scheduled for filling claims and objections in Form 6, 6A, 7, 8 or 8A as may be appropriate.

Disposal of claims and objections are slated to be completed by January 5 while checking of parameters and obtaining Commission’s permission for final publication would be done on January 14, 2021. 

The final publication of e-roll is January 15.

Dimapur: ADC & ERO Dimapur, V Lovitoly Sema notified that the e-roll for 1-Dimapur-I, 2-Dimapur - II, 3 Dimapur-III, 4 Ghaspani-I, 5-Ghaspani-II Assembly Constituencies have been prepared in accordance with the Regulation of Electors Rules, 1960.

The copies are available for inspection at the office of the Deputy Commissioner and District Election officer, Dimapur.

The qualifying date for the preparation of the e-roll is January 1, 2021 and the period for any claim and objection should be lodged on or before December 15.

Kohima: ADC and Electoral Registration Officer Kohima, Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa on Tuesday informed on publication of e-roll for the to the electors of the 8 -Western Angami, 9 - Kohima Town, 10 - Northern Angami - I, 11 - Northern Angami - II, 12 - Tseminyu, 14 - Southern Angami - I and 15 -Southern Angami - II Assembly Constituencies.

Every such claim or objection should either be presented in the Office or to the Booth Level Officer or sent by post to ADC & ERO Kohima not later than the December 15.  

Mon: Assistant Electoral Registration Officer Mon informed the Electors of 41-48 ACs and 55 AC, of Mon District that the e-roll has been prepared and a copy is available for inspection at ERO Office, and at the Office of AEROs, VRECs and Election Office, Mon during Office hours.

Every claim or objection should either be presented in ERO Office or to the AEROs and BLOS or sent by post to the address given not later than the aforesaid date December 15.  

Noklak: Meeting with political parties was held in the office chamber of Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer, Noklak in connection with the publication of Draft e-roll for 56th and 57th ACs on November 16. 

The DC encouraged the members to extend their co-operation for maintaining a clean e-roll which is the basic requirement for conducting free and fair elections. 

The meeting being the first of its kind after upgrading to Election District status, he also urged the members to extend their full support in all the endeavours for the development of the District. 

P Puching Lam BLO, Supervisor Assembly Constituency reminded the political parties to nominate BLAs for assisting the BLOs during the exercise particularly, during the special camps. 

Peren: ADC and Electoral Registration Officer Peren, Moa Sangtam in a notification said that a copy of draft e-roll for Tening and Peren ACs is available for inspection in his office and at designated polling stations of concerned BLOs during office hours.  

Tuensang: A meeting on draft publication of e-roll chaired by Kumar Ramnikant, DC & DEO Tuensang at DC Conference Hall Tuensang was attended by all the political parties of the state.

In a short speech, the DC & DEO encouraged all the political parties to make use of the revision period for healthy electoral rolls for the district.  

Wokha: Draft e-roll was handed over to registered political parties of 37-Tiyi, 38-Wokha, 39-Sanis and 40-Bhandari by the Additional Deputy Commissioner & Electoral Registration Officer, Wokha, K Mhathung Tsanglao on November 16 at Deputy Commissioner, Conference Hall, Wokha.

The qualifying date of the e-roll is January 1, 2021 and the ADC informed that any claim for inclusion of a name in the roll or any objection to the inclusion of a name and any objection to particulars in any entry should be lodged on or before December 15 from the office of the Assistant Election Officer (AEO), Wokha during office hours.

Zunheboto: Draft publication of e-roll 2020-21 was held on November 16 at Deputy Commissioner's office by EAC & AERO, Nyamok Konyak in the presence of national and regional party leaders. In a brief launching programme, it was also notified by the AERO that the final publication of electoral roll will be done on January 15.
