
Kohima, July 6 (MExN): In an intensified drive against drug trafficking, Kohima Police intercepted and seized a total of 1060 grams of suspected heroin worth over Rs 1.11 crore in two separate operations within the district on July 1 and 3.
“The drugs were packed in soap cases (total 91 nos) and concealed in sacks of rice and in the passenger seats of the intercepted vehicles,” PRO Kohima Police informed in a press release.
In this regard, two individuals namely Hrüvilou (22) resident of Senapati, Manipur and Kimhoi Kipgen (52) resident of Kangpokpi, Manipur have been arrested and NDPS cases registered in South Police Station for further investigation, the PRO stated.
