Dimapur, January 25 (MExN): The Dimapur Tribal Hoho Forum (DTHF) held a meeting at Tourist Lodge, Dimapur on January 25 during which it deliberated on the Naga Council Dimapur issue.
According to a press release from the forum on Monday, the meeting was attended by 12 of the 19 tribal hohos. It said that the house had agreed, in principle, a report and recommendation submitted by the Peace Committee after detail deliberation for implementation.
It also stated that the DTHF had resolved to direct its respective Councillors not to attend meeting proposed by the NCD on January 27, on grounds that it would amount to ‘contempt of court.’
During the meeting, the forum selected Zhato Angami as the Sessional Convenor and Wanthang Rengma as the Sessional Secretary of DTHF, the release stated.
Earlier, the meeting began with an obituary reference to late Ghoketo Chophy who was the NCD President and members paid their respect to the departed leader, the release stated.
