Wokha, November 11 (MExN): Wokha District Welfare Officer M Tongwang Konyak has informed that cash payment of various welfare schemes such as old age and widow pension, pensions for persons with disabilities, etc., will be made from the office of the District Welfare Office Wokha starting November 15.
For the first round, the disbursement would be done on November 15 for Wokha Town, Chukitong range, Niro range, Pongitong, Longsa, Humtso, Elumyo, Wokha Village and on November 16 payments will be made for Pangti, Sungro, Okotso, Aree Old & New, Akuk, Mekokla, Lakhuti, Sunglup and Yonchucho.
Dates for the remaining villages will be intimated in due course of time, the DWO informed in a press release on Thursday. For beneficiaries who have already submitted Bank Account details, he informed that the pension will be deposited in the accounts through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mode.
