The gesture will go a long way in motivating the police in their duties for the welfare of the public, he added. As such, he further impressed upon his subordinates on the importance of shifting from the ‘old mindset’ stating: “We have to function as the people’s police.” He said that the faith and confidence of the public on the police can be developed only when the public’s trust is built constantly. “We cannot force people to trust us. Only when we deliver, the trust of the public on the police will grow,” he further asserted.
General Manager BJ Sharma speaking on behalf of the SBI hoped that the small yet noble gesture on their part will further strengthen the relationship between Dimapur police and the SBI while meting out public service.
“Every year, the State Bank of India has earmarked 1% of its yearly profit for Corporate Social Responsibilty/Community Services Banking.
