NSRLM staffs along with Echungren Cluster Level federation office bearers and stakeholders after the launching programme.
Wokha, November 13 (MExN): Block Mission Management Unit Nagaland State Rural Livelihood Mission Changpang Block, Department of Rural Development, Wokha district held the launching programme of Echungren Cluster Level Federation Aitepyong Circle at Echungren CLF Office Akuk Old on October 31 with Samuel Kithan ADPM DMMU NSRLM Wokha as special guest.
Special Guest, Samuel Kithan said that Echungren CLF needs to have a better planning and objectives for survival of the federation. Knowing that Changpang Block is challenging because of the geographical area, he encourage the members to give more efforts in bringing the members together at all times to work together for smooth functioning and development through the Federation by abiding the Government norms.
A press release issued by Subenthung Yanthan, Area Coordinator FI & Manager Echungren CLF stated that the programme was chaired by Y Shumbeno Lotha, VF Mekokla while Chumbani Kikon, MBK/VF Aietpyong pronounced the opening prayer and Thungchibeni Odyuo, VF Akuk Old gave the welcome address note.
Chobhalo Kinghen, Secretary, Echungren CLF said that there are 45 SHGs, four VLOs and 16 Community Cadres at Aitepyong Circle, and an Amount of Rs 48,42800 was given till date excluding Community cadres Honorarium. The said amount includes (SHGs/VO/CLF-Start up Cost, SHGs-RF, VO/CLF-CIF, VO-VRF, AGEY (Mahindra Bolero) and Piggery Unit). She encouraged the SHG Members under Echungren CLF to cooperate and work together in unity as the motto says “Together We Can.”
Block Program, Manager, Myingthungo Ezung BMMU NSRLM Changpang in his keynote address highlighted the overview of NSRLM under Changpang Block. He briefed on the benefits that they are getting and encourages the SHG Members to be more dedicated in working together for a sustainable living through Livelihood activities, the members present were told to target the left over households in order to bring them under the fold of NSRLM SHGs. He also requested the village stakeholders to continue in supporting the women folks.
Hd GBs of Aitepyong and Akuk Old Village thanked the department concerned and the Staffs of NSRLM for continuously supporting the women folks in particular and the villages under Aitepyong Circle in general.
Vote of thanks was given by Adeno Ezung VF Mekokla while closing prayer was pronounced by Renben J Ovung, Pastor, Akuk Baptist Church.
