Kohima, December 3 (MExN): The eDaakhil portal for the State of Nagaland was launched by Phukayi Sumi, Advisor for Food and Civil Supplies, Legal Metrology & Consumer Protection on December 2.
Addressing the event, a DIPR report stated that Phukayi on behalf of the Government of Nagaland thanked the NIC for developing the Consumer Centric Service and the NIC Delhi team for coming to the state for the launching programme.
He observed that India is a vast country where the traders are exploiting the consumers hence this programme/service is essential and necessary to protect the Indian citizens and entire consumer of the country in general. He assured that all the programmes and activities of the Government of Nagaland by the Consumer Affairs Department explained will be followed up.
Kezhokhoto Savi, Advocate, President, Nagaland Voluntary Consumers’ Organisation and Manager, Nagaland State Consumer Helpline, gave a brief talk on the functioning of the State Consumer Affairs and consumer rights. He also requested the State Government to implement the Consumer Protection Act 2019 at the earliest for the benefit of the citizens of the state.
Amaranatha Mishra, DDG & HOG, Consumer Affairs, gave a brief outline of the project through virtual mode. Ravindra Kumar, Scientist F and HoD Consumer Affairs, NIC Hqr, New Delhi gave the presentation and short clip on the portal.
Chubasangla Anar, Commissioner & Secretary, F&CS, LM & CPD along with the Officers of the department, Director of LM & CPD, Registrar of State Commission along with State NIC officials attended the programme. All the District Consumer foras and DIOs of NIC Nagaland participated in through virtual mode.
