The Eden Medical Centre has increased its COVID ward capacity to 25 beds in addition to the 12 beds in tents set up by the Indian Army.
DIMAPUR, MAY 17 (MExN): In view of the increasing number of COVID-19 positive patients requiring hospitalization and oxygen, Eden Medical Centre has decided to increase the bed capacity in the COVID Ward to 25, from the existing 11 beds.
A press release from Dr Lima Imchen, Director, Eden Medical Centre informed that the temporary tents that the Indian Army recently set up inside the hospital campus will also be ready to take up another 12 COVID positive patients from May 18 to admit mild cases. Depending upon manpower and availability of oxygen cylinders, the bed capacity in these tents will also be increased, it was added.
“We also want to let the public know that we are still admitting non-COVID cases in separate wings and we are taking utmost care and precautions while dealing with non-COVID cases,” the press release assured.
