WOKHA, FEBRUARY 8 (MExN): The Sub- Divisional Officer, (Electrical), Wokha, Er Thanyalo Kath has informed all power consumers under Wokha district that as per the directive of the Engineer-In-Chief of Power Nagaland, the Wokha Electrical Sub-Division will be carrying out intensive disconnection drive against defaulting consumers with huge pending arrears in the month of February and March.
“The department is constantly engaged in improving the power stability and reliability but with poor revenue return, it has adversely affected the power purchase capital, moreover the state exchequer is also affected by the poor revenue,” a press release issued through the DIPR stated. In view of the above mentioned circumstances the revenue, mobilization disconnection drive has been initiated and the disconnection drive will start from second week of February. Consumers have been requested to clear all pending arrears at the earliest to avoid disconnection.
