DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 2 (MExN): Elken International, one of the leading firms in the direct selling industry, launched two new products in Dimapur on Saturday, October 2. The products were ‘Ken 2’ – the second in the company’s series of ‘Bio Pure’ water purification system and ‘Kington Isotonic’ life plasma, which is a health supplement.
The formal launch hosted at Hotel Saramati was attended by the company’s top executives Michael R. Long, a water scientist and senior vice president (Manufacturing/Technical Service); Than Tuck Hoong, senior vice president; and Sandip Misra, CEO of Elken International India Pvt. Ltd.
Giving a description of the new products, Senior VP Long said that functionally ‘Ken 2’ is the same as its predecessor ‘Ken 1’ but with an added new feature which can provide hot water on demand. The ‘Bio Pure’ series uses the trusted ‘reverse osmosis’ process of water purification. The product was first launched in India at Jaipur last week, Long said. Dimapur is the third after Guwahati.
The ‘Bio Pure Ken’ system has been awarded with the ‘S300’ gold seal by the Water Quality Association (WQA) after passing a series of stringent certification tests in the laboratory. “Elken is the only company outside the United States that has achieved the gold seal”, Long informed.
The system was again recertified this year since, Long said, according to WQA norms it has to undergo certification process after every three years. ‘Bio Pure’ series was first launched in the year 2007.
“More than ever before, the world is talking about water…because it’s getting more and more contaminated and scarce”. As a result more companies are joining the water purification race and coming up with various methods and machines.
Long said further enlightened consumers that whatever water purification machines they buy, it must be made sure it is certified by recognised quality control agencies. The other product launched today is a health supplement in liquid form sourced from phytoplanktons in the sea. It is called ‘Kington Isotonic’.
To maintain a wholesome health, Long said, human-beings must have more than 70 different minerals in their body. The ‘Kington Isotonic’ plasma contains more than 78 essential minerals required by the human body, Long said.
The product, though new for this part of the world is widely used and recognized in Europe where it has been in use for more than a hundred years, Long said.
“Harvested from the ocean, Kington Life Plasma enables healthy cellular communication and promotes the normal functioning of cells, tissues, organs and systems”. “It looks like a drug but not a medicine…it is a restorative that helps the body to heal and restore itself”.
Long said that the product has no negative side-effects and added that any person, irrespective of health conditions can use it, whether under medication or not.
“We don’t want people to think of it as a drug or medicine, but one which people can take everyday”.
